Charles Spurgeon commented on theological reading,
As the apostle says to Timothy, so also he says to every-one, 'Give yourself to reading.' ... He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains proves that he has no brains of his own... You need to read. Renounce as much as you will all light literature, but study as much as possible sound theological works, especially the Puritanic writers, and expositions of the Bible... the best way for you to spend your leisure is to be either reading or praying.Knowing what joy and improvement I've received from great authors of the past, I cannot easily convey the disappointment I feel when people confess how few substantive books they read each year, while finding time for hundreds of hours of shallow television, YouTube videos, and banal fiction. Diet tells much, and suggests our state of health. Avoiding hard and meaningful material is like attempting to subsist on intellectual Ramen noodles.

Alarm to the Unconverted by Joseph Alleine is also one of my favorites and one of the most convicting books I have ever read. I actually bought a bunch of copies of it for professing Christians that need to know reality.
Your site is excellent, brother.
What a work the Spirit has done and is doing through you. Be encouraged and praise Him for His salvation! All hail the power of Jesus' name!
You just upped the ante, my friend. Very very nice.
Great Reading list, well done and good symbols!
What host do you use for your website? Are you pleased with them and would you recommend them to others wanting a ministry website?
thanks in advance
